No, actually, when I say British accents I do mean British accents. Posh Queen’s English? Yep, awesome. Cockney? Fabulous. Welsh accents? Gorgeous. Liverpudlian/scouse? Amazing. Manchester? Oh lord yes. Blackpool? Yep, keep going. All the Irish ones? Hells yes. All the Scottish? Oh yes. All of the crazy variations.
Granted, the deeper into the countryside you go, the harder it gets to actually understand them. Or like, Kelly’s Derby accent in Misfits? Not the easiest to understand, but fucking amazing as hell. Yes please, to ALL the variations.

^Yep. People who say this just don’t realize how…flat and banal American accents are compared to *any* British accent.

Southern accents are not banal or flat and all. I would almost argue that they are the most beautiful of the American accents, but that might be my Texan bias talking.
